What a delightful time I had teaching 14 eager participants the timeless art of embroidery! We learned some basics about the craft, including how to prepare your hoop and threading your needle.
Once we were able to make our first stitch, we worked our way through the first challenge: hand lettering with a stem stitch! Participants were eager, yet patient on making sure every needle prick was just in the right place. After a few rounds, the group picked it up quick and went right along finishing out their lettering! If one participant got lost, someone was right there able to help them out. It became a team effort!
Participants left knowing how to do 3 different types of stitches and the confidence to finish their hoops at home. Stitch on, my friends!
