Sushi Plates, Cheese Boards, and Snack Trays
This month we tried our hands at some clay projects.
Led by Kirsten, this session was filled with a lot of rolling, beating, and kneading.
We used a slab building technique to make sushi plates, cheese boards, or whatever else our imagination could come up with. We rolled out slabs, added textures and design patterns from everyday objects such as leaves, bubble wrap, and wood! After that, if people were feeling a bit adventurous, they built the rims or feet for their project using a technique Kirsten demonstrated.
Of course there was no experience necessary so we attracted all sorts of people. So much so we had to split the groups in half! Now we have another session coming up in August! All and all, this was a fun share, and we simply cannot wait for the next session!
